Ep 2: In Search of True Discipleship Part 2
The word disciple is used 261 times in the New Testament. The word “Christian” is only used three times (Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16). Jesus never referred to His followers as Christians. He called them disciples. For many years, I wore the label without living the life. Only when I understood what discipleship truly meant did I recognize how much of my faith had been superficial. The Great Commission is not calling us to religious identity, but to disciplined obedience.
